It’s an interesting point, everything you read about Roglic is that he is super focused and in a one state mind, it could be something like this put him off. Maybe something fishy with the bike too :alien:

@SBYM the Porte interview was fantastic! Some woman he has there

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a top professional rider look so out of sorts before. Those images of Roglic coming up to the line, drained of colour, aero helmet all askew and peddling like he’d borrowed someone else’s legs were extraordinary.

Amazing from Pogacar. Without much team support he’s really agitated this race and taken on JV on his own. Chapeau that man.

I can only think pressure or maybe a slight illness. Or perhaps just a bad day. Something clearly wasn’t right. He clearly wasn’t right at any point yesterday.

I think it was odd but fantastic to watch.

They have pretty much had hilly TTs since Frome dominance in an attempt to take his dominance away. He was just too strong and if he wasn’t it just helped Thomas.
Btw I wonder what would have happened if Dumoulin was Jumbos team leader. Stronger than Roglic in the mountains and time trails.

My suspect Testosterone.
I also wonder if it’s natural testosterone levels that are getting these young agressive riders to the top (and then falling rapidly afterward). Any way it’s would make a long and fascinating debate.

Froome is joining the Isreal team.

It’s to encourage intelligent discussion. Just not our strong point I suppose.

No idea to be honest. I’ve just looked back at the times and Roglics time wasn’t awful by any means. Less than 40 seconds off Porte and Dumoulin. But he did look ragged and i would jave expected better given that he would have known the stuation. Pogacar’s ride was simply that far ahead of them all. Back in the day it would have raised a few eyebrows.

Incredible stage.

World championships taking place right now.

Womens TT yesterday with a pretty nasty crash for Dygert, who was leading at the time. V Der Breggen won. Crash at 1;14 if you’re morbid enough.

Mens TT today and a strong showing from G Thomas. Looks like he’s got his head back where it should be for the Giro.

Van Der Breggen doubled up by winning the road race as well, made it look easy actually.

Men’s race just started - long one so doesn’t finish until about 4.

Any bets on a winner?

WVA for me.

Fearless and Belgium have a good group at the front.

I’d be very happy with a Dumoulin win, too.

I’d be surprised if WVA doesn’t win from this position although Roglic has a chance too.

Having said that this is a great move by Alaphilippe.

JA has it.

Happy with that. You gotta love the way he rides a bike.

Chapeau Julian.

Going to watch this later. I find the whole saga extremely fascinating, even to this day.

Geoblocked, on netflix they were showing the program, a film based on lance and a reporter that was following his rise and eventual fall due to doping. Not a bad watch.

Who will be watching the Giro this weekend ?

Hope so. National interest with G Thomas in there for Ineos. Looking pretty strong too.

Saw most of the first part of the Lance programme last night. Interesting, especially his younger years and rise into pro cycling. You can see from his personality why things happened as they did.
