The Cycling Thread

Vuelta started today. Anyone knows of anywhere where you can get decent highlights? Not 6 minutes on YouTube.

Route looks pretty brutal.

Try the Lanterne Rouge YT channel.

Full analysis of everg stage with footage, I think.

I’ve seen that Chris Froome fell off his bike again yesterday. He’s pretty banged up too.

Broken back, 5 ribs plus more.

Jesus.

Yeah, punctured lung too. What the hell happened?

He has my kind of luck. First day of riding into work and was greeted by torrential rain and flooding.

Off to Edinburgh today to start a bike packing trip back to Warrington

Slight side question. Does anyone know a lfc pub in Edinburgh

Just saw this. Best of luck.

I was going to post that Pidcock is having a decent Vuelta so far

Bye G.

Otherwise a bit tired of UAE stage victories…

Managed to get it done in three days of riding. Split 65,75,120 miles per day.
Was absolutely stunning scenery for most of the journey up to Preston.
Tried adding pics to this but it keeps coming back with errors

Awesome work, dude!

That’ll be picture size which is a right pain sadly. One for the mids to consider maybe. Its hard work having to compress photos down to a postage stamp.

Otherwise fantastic effort that. Very very cool.

Il Lombardia is Saturday.

Pog hasn’t won a WT race for aaaaaaaages, just the small matter of the WC road race since winning the TdF.

Would have to be the 1.01 favourite.

That long?
His domination is crazy.

For those that fancy being sports washed, UAE run My Woosh which is a free version of Zwift. Coming up they have a competition where the prize is a trip out to Dubai to have a cafe ride with the pro team, lunch etc. with Pogacar and then an online ride with Pogi etc. They supply everything.

Ample opportunity to embarrass yourself.

I should have taken that 1.01…

Nuts considering the race calendar he’s had. Meanwhile Vinegaard’s form fell off a cliff after the Vuelta.

Allowed after two GTs, I reckon.

Yup for normal humans. Just looking it up, Pogacar has appeared in 17 events this season. Nothing in August though which is probably key. I’ll have to dive a bit deeper to see how many racing days that actually was.

I did 48km yesterday. Does that count?

Yeah Pogacar is a modern Merckx - if he can keep this level for another few years he’ll end up with an incomparable palmares.
