I think it’s clear since quite some time that we are a well-run club. Everything which was achieved during the Klopp era wouldn’t have been possible without that.

A few days after he took over the club, JW Henry said during an interview that he was always looking at the long term when taking any decision. That’s when I realized for the first time that the club was in good hands. On the pitch, there were some shake-ups at time, especially with Rodgers doing his best to rock the boat, but in organisational and financial terms, we have gone from strength to strength.

Now, we are witnessing the full power of that good organisation, patiently built up over almost fifteen years.

I agree with everything you have said, 100%. I just want to add to this comment that they are lucky to have us, too. As an investment group they have done fantastically well from LFC. Both sides are getting what they need and it is one unified force, moving forward together to trample all before us.

We’re basically the blueprint of what to do for every club moaning about PSR.

A cohesive unit running through the club from the business element on one side to the football element on the other. In tune, aligned, clear vision.

Then talent identification is critical. Helps you take strides forward but also refill the coffees whilst you grow the revenue streams. Don’t get prescious about selling players for top whack and have a plan for how you’d replace each and everyone of them.

Then get yourself a manager who buys into that vision. And if you lose him for whatever reason the next guy has to fit the club philosophy and playing squad, not just be the hot new name doing well with a completely different style and philosophy.

Finally, find your edge. We seem to have done that with our analysis and recruitment and whilst everyone is playing catch up on that they’re spending a fortune on new players and new managers just to cling onto our coattails.

They’ve had some major missteps along the way and no one will ever be perfect but I’m not sure if swap them for any other set of owners in the game right now.

I appreciate that they seem to learn from those missteps as well.

Ask @Jackbenimble

And continue the pile on?
Why would we do that?
Jack has a contrary opinion, or he’s trolling.
If the latter, the Mods can sort it

It’s great to see the owners dedicated to further improve the club. This is again a move with a view on the long term, and they should really be applauded for their consistency.

20 millions on top of what was spent this summer. They mean it!

I have a Haier fridge. I hate it. It’s difficult to understand or explain, but literally every internal dimension is wrong

The figures spent on transfers doesn’t half distort perspectives. Read that and thought “£20m, what’s that really going to do?”

Then you remember ÂŁ20m is actually a massive amount of money in most contexts.

FSG bought the whole club for a great deal less than we just spent on transfers in one window. :open_mouth:

This is wonderful news and absolutely warranted. I appreciate how much FSG has invested in improving the infrastructure surrounding the club, including Anfield, Kirkby, and Melwood.

But I hope that FSG decides to invest in the women’s team, too. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be competing for trophies.

Didn’t they buy back Melwood for the women’s team?
