Krajicek’s tennis in that Wimbledon was very scary, though.
Another top notch tennis from him was 1998 Stuttgart Master.

Yeah he was in another slam final, Australian I believe, which was Federer’s first slam win.
Safin himself said that he didn’t feel bothered to work hard at his tennis. He comes from a well-to-do family and he was t too fussed about success. A pity as he was very talented.

Guys like Wawrinka and Safin in other eras would have won many more slams.
Certainly not their fault that Federer , Nadal and Djokovic had their peaks one after the other in relatively short time.
Can’t dub them one slam wonders.

Emma is a sweetheart but i doubt she’ll ever win a big tournament again.
At this point I think she is trying to milk that tennis cow for as long as possible and then probably working as a pundit etc.
Every time she’s working up a head of steam the injury misfortune descends.
Seems like football isn’t the only sport that is slowly grinding their primary annd only assets down.
I do wonder if they have an obligation to play.
I know they can skip the Davis Cup but can they skip on the tour as Golfers can?
Rankings is the main issue. But that is a fight that has been going on since the 80s and is a large part of why Borg walked away. He wanted to play less so he could have more of a personal life, but the way the rankings are calculated the schedule he wanted to play would have made it impossible to retain a top 10 ranking. No one was willing to work with him over it so he walked.

With Golf you have this break I guess. Most players could probably rest now. If you are this lad you’d think you can pick and choose it’s those coming through which are more likely to struggle.
You could see how out of sorts Alcaraz, Djokovic, Zverev were by the time the US open rolled around.
Olympics on a clay court right after Wimbledon didn’t help.
