President Covfefe has delayed the start of the US open men’s final coz he wants the limelight for himself. And probably the trophy as well.
I am finding the coverage of this final extremely hard to take with the constant focusing on “celebs” in the crowd and even putting their names up on the big screen (who the hell is Dakota Fanning?) plus adverts between games for Rolex and other luxury brands which only the aforesaid celebs can afford

Alcaraz’s been far too good for Sinner today, the speed to reach half the shots he gets to which would be standard winners against any other player is remarkable.

Absolutely dominant from Carlo! What a serving performance! And some of the balls he got back at pace from stretched positions! Incredible!
He’s definitely become better and more consistent.
And he’s the only one who can effectively mix up his game to keep Sinner off balance. Sinner missed a lot today because Alcaraz didn’t let him establish rhythm.
Best player in the world right now.
