Really feel for the lad

Zverev really stunk up the joint in the first set vs De Minaur in the Laver Cup

Hahahahah wtf is this :grinning_face::laughing::rofl:

Anyone watching this “Battle of the Sexes”

If they want to play as equals…then why is the court different and the net bigger…or has it already been explained…

It’s not being sold as equal though, seems to be just marketed as that, seems to be a sports companies way of getting some cash. I expect to see more of these mind. Not sure how it will draw people in as some have said.

It’s thrown me and I am waiting for the Palace game.

Ah..ok…just had a quick look…and got abit confused.

Yeah, I got thrown by it.

It was boring as fuck. Nick wasn’t even at 60% intensity. Let lots of shots go that he normally makes, spinning in serves (although with a vicious kick). And when fit and firing he can bomb away with the best of them, if not with regularity.
Aryna should count herself fortunate she didn’t play against someone like Corentin Moutet with his spins and sudden underhanded serves. She’d have smashed a few racquets on her way to a 1-6 1-6 scoreline.

Yeah I watched the first set then put the Spurs game on.

Spectators were more interested in the fact that the real Ronaldo and Kaka were there. Crouchie was there as well but nobody bothered much with him.

Every major we get all the hype about “British number 1” Emma Raducanu.

Is she really just very unlucky with injuries or is it the truth that she is actually only slightly better than the other Brits. I do feel a bit sorry for her because of the hype but I am always suspicious when sports people get their excuses in first. Every presser she mentions her current injury.

She should try hiring a new coach.

I think sacking the original coach was a mistake, couple that with constant injuries and it looks like what could’ve been a really promising career is going to run away from her. She’s still young enough to get back on track, provided stability of both coaching and injuries, but it does feel less and less likely that she’ll manage it with each passing tournament. When fit and firing her tennis is still absolutely fantastic; fit and firing is very rarely the state she finds herself in though.

It’s one of those cases where lack of significant stretches without injury has thwarted her development and in the meantime her peer group has forged ahead.
Similar to what happens to promising young footballers who pick up a serious or a series of recurring injuries that robs them of that crucial development phase.

I really hope it isn’t the case for Draper as well.

I wonder if she gets through boyfriends at the same rate

It’s ridiculous. Underperforming her talent and firing coaches.

But I guess she has enough cash….. maybe not enough motivation to be the best.
