More disturbing the article also said Greek LB Tsimikas tested positive for COVID which he caught during international duty. Wtf?

Iād take Ā£25m in heartbeat, provided there was a healthy kick back to us from a later sale.
Heās a really good young player, but there is a suspicion that there just isnāt a role for him in a Klopp team. Heās potentially a great finisher, but if he wanted to lead the line for us he needs to be a lot more than that.

Thatās a very decent valuation indeed.
Solanke for better or worse has always been the bench mark against which he is compared. They had very comparable youth careers at club and international level, but Dom got a season in Holland (in which he did ok), then wasted a year back at Chelsea doing nothing before having one season with us in which he was a bit part player who scored just 1 goal. He went for 17 million.
Brewster has had only half a season of real senior involvement compared to Domās 2 full seasons (even if weāre generous and ignore the season he wasted at chelsea in between Vitesse and signing for us) and scored more goals in those 20 games than Dom had done in his entire senior career up to that point.
You have a Covid deflation and a Bournmouth are shit in the transfer market tax to account for, but itās still a ball park figure.

Think when you stack his numbers up against Ollie Watkins you can see why that figure is pretty reasonable.
Goals per game or minutes per goal were very similar albeit with Rhian only having half a season to settle in and make an impact. Younger too.
Feels odd to be thinking about selling such a prospect but if it funds a prospect that better fits our needs and way we play then it makes some sense.
Increasingly I think big clubs will be looking at making revenue in this way rather than holding on to kids that havenāt made the break through in their teens or early 20s. A successful loan move to boost the profile and value then shift them on. Those that look good but are still a way off challenging for a starting place or their pathway is blocked go with a first option or buy back fee in place.

I think he needs a particular system to be his best. Kane may still be scoring tonnes of goals but his movement isnt quite the same as it used to be and i think that reduces Deleās effectiveness as he no longer has the same areas of space to work in as before.

From what little I have seen of Watkins I think he might actually have been a good addition but 28 mill or more is a lot of money. I am sure h will do very well at Villa.I agree that someone like Doku would be a worth a try.
