…to Liverpool historically. Don’t think they’ve got as bad a reputation elsewhere just we’ve allowed ourselves to be taken for a ride a few times. Doubt we will anymore.
looks like a deal for Shaqiri may be close if he is saying he wants to leave and has agreed it with the club, while namechecking Lazio. Only downside for us if this is transfer politics and his camp are trying to force through a move on the cheap.
Yeah, that is somewhat disconcerting.
What more do we need to hit £50m in sales? I think that’s the magic number before we see any further incomings. Mikey up to about £31.95m according to transfermarkt (including U23s and Grujic’s agreed fee payable next year).
Hopefully any two of Ojo, Shaq, Origi and Phillips will get us there.
£35.44m
That’s the forecasted total for the quartet, according to TAN experts.
Add on Shaqiri to make it between £40-50 million and I’d take a guess Phillips and Origi are near departures too which should add somewhere between £15-30m and worst case scenario we’ve recouped £55m maybe as much as £80m without really harming ourselves yet.
We’re saving the money for Kylian.
Whats Lazios offer? £1m upfront with an option to buy in 10 years for £2.50
That Grizz Kahn bloke knows sod all. Someone reliable announces interest in Shaq and within about an hour this bloke is peddling details of an offer.
Truly the worst of LFC Twitter.
The great thing about a Shaq move to Lazio is it should see a big move for Luis Alberto too which would see another decent chunk added to our pot.
The only reason I posted it, was because it mentioned a fee and West Ham’s interest for Nat. Haven’t a clue whether there is any truth to either - but useful to compare with what others say throughout the day (and whether they are copying him).
Apparently Lazio were interested in Shaqiri before the Euros. I suppose they would need to sell Luis Alberto before they could put any money on the table.
Shaq is currently trending on Twitter. People getting over-excited by a possible actual transfer.
I think some of the deals are close to being final and we will have an announcement or two during this week.
I don’t know. It appears we have at least two deals where the money starts to come in from next year (Grujic and Wilson). We may be open to doing more of them that way in this window to get the deals done.
James Pearce says that the club are looking for 12 million pounds for Shaqiri, which is about right in the current climate. It seemed that majority of sales would be in that region, hopefully the deal will be concluded soon and Origi and Phillips will follow soon for similar amounts.
He gives IndyKilla a run for his money.
It’s a shame I really like Shaqiri and he’s an underappreciated player. If we set up in a different manner, 4231 maybe, he’d be the perfect type of player to be 4th choice across the 3. Good enough to play regularly and even put pressure on the “starters”.
Oh yeah no dig at you posting it, it’s the unreliable rumours after all. I just despise the chancer making money off fans by bare faced lying.
