30m is a bit pricey… because of his limited experience.
Looks like he could break-out in a big way this season though, so maybe being so cheap may backfire.
Plus, if you compare it to what we are asking for Brewster and told me Doku would cost a few million more then I would do have done the swap in a heart beat.
I just can’t see us paying that much.

Hmm, Wilson to Burnley would be an interesting transfer. The cynic in me says they would be getting him solely for his set-piece ability but the realist in me thinks they would be getting him mainly because of that.

Lol… this was literally my first thought as well.

James Pearce confirms their interest as well:
He’d actually make them more dangerous at their own game but I’ve never thought they would be interested in him, he always struck me as a lightweight player. Now that I think more of it, this transfer actually makes sense! So, hopefully club get at least 20 million pounds for him, I’m a bit jealous at Arsenal selling their prospects for vast sums over the last two seasons.

It’s a club which relies on setpieces to survive. Someone like Wilson could be the difference between Relegation and Survival for them.

Then we should refuse to sell and let Burnley sink, the cunts.

I’ll be actually for that. Sean Douche shouldn’t have any place managing in the PL

Made me chuckle
Burnley looked short on wide players and the ones they have are often injured and they often had to play their backup left back Pieters as winger so it makes sense for them to be after one.
I didn’t expect that to be Wilson, but thinking about it - it makes sense for them (and not only for the set pieces), he’ll be helpful with his crosses, shots from range and set pieces. Not sure how he’ll cope in defense, Dyche’s wingers usually do a lot of defensive work and help the full backs in closing the flanks.
How does he fit in with McNeil? I wonder if it might mean Burnley are selling him. Before we signed Tsimikas I would have quite liked us to go in for McNeil.

Although he’s left-footed (afaik), it seems like Wilson plays mostly on the right - certainly he did for Bournemouth anyway - while McNeil plays almost always on the left.

I agree but if Wilson is being bought to play on the right that suggests Dyche has heard of the concept of inverted wingers. I call bullshit

We can’t be sniffy about the team that buys Wilson. The main thing is they bring cash to the table, enough of it that we do a deal. Oh, and obviously the player has to agree to it all too.
Over the past couple of years Wilson has proved he is borderline between being a solid Prem player and an upper Championship player. Did well at Derby. Did average at Bournemouth, who were relegated.
We are world class all over the pitch nowadays, and to even get to the fringes of the first team squad you need more than Wilson. It’s harsh, but it’s true.
So Wilson either sits and takes the money and winds his Liverpool contract down, while not playing… but then runs the risk of fading away and not making it as a Prem player, and lower level football pays much, much less. Or, he licks his wounds, gives up on his LFC dream because it isn’t happening, and takes the best (only?) Prem gig on offer, and doubles down to make the most of his career.
Like everyone else, I can’t stand Burnley. Bunch of grocks playing the dark arts, game in game out. Before them it was Stoke, and there have always been teams like that. They have to go to the limits to try to close the gap in quality. Can’t stand them, but it is what it is.
Wilson has an exquisite left foot and will bang in a few free kicks, and also whip in a very dangerous cross for them. It could actually be a good fit.
15M plus a percentage of a future sale is about where I see the price landing, if it goes through.

Wish there was a way to get Wilson and Brewster to the same team…Southampton? That way, we could all check in and watch Ings and the boys each week play, and return the favor of giving them some players.
Doesn’t have to be Southampton, could be Sheff U, some nice unassuming team that would be fun to watch.
But not Burnley Wilson. C’mon.
Wasn’t Newcastle after Wilson? That would also work.

Burnley offering less than 10m so there is a lot of negotiation to do.
They have to be taking the piss if it is true they offered under 10. Fuck everything about that shitty team, shitty manager, shitty town. Only way I would go there is if I was kidnapped

If reports are true and Wilson turned down a move to Leeds, why in the fuck would he then choose Burnley??
Playing styles,Manager and club status puts Leeds head and shoulders above Burnley, even if they’ve only just got promoted, they just seem a better fit and a more natural footballing side than Dyche’s,unless it was a money/contract thing.

And there is a small part of Leeds that is a nice area.
100%. I was very much a voice against the idea that Pulisic was primarily a marketing gimmick for the US market and always claimed he was good enough to make a real impact in this league. But Gio is miles ahead of where Pulisic was at 17.
