Zaha makes no sense, even on a free. Not the right fit. Plus, how many left sided attackers do we need? Seems a left footed, right side attacker is more of what we should be looking for as a back up to Salah….after the midfield is sorted of course.

Zaha is an example of the sort of player modern football has put in a difficult position. The disparities between those at the top and those even midtable are big enough that it makes him feel “too good” for a side like Palace, yet not good enough for a CL side without significant changes to his game and expectations for himself.
