See this as a Diaz situation. We probably wanted him in summer because to replace players who indicated to the club they are not extending their stay like Ox or Firmino. There is even a chance I feel Salah will leave and the contract extension was to extract max value. And if someone goes in hard for Gakpo, like Diaz we pull the trigger early. Great potential of course and at the right price range.
