If I’m looking at Juventus players, and possibly exploiting their situation, maybe Weston McKennie, 24, deep lying midfielder or box to box. Would add some much needed athleticism to our engine room.
Not more speed skaters:rofl:
Fire crackers.
Arthur Melo.
Has anyone actually seen him…did he play a few minutes in a U21 game??
Didn’t he play about 10 in a game for the first team.
He played 90 minutes for u21’s v Leicester.
13 mins in a CL game against Napoli.
We that puts the Nob in nobluff.
According to James Pearce LFC are thinking of selling Kelleher to raise funds.
Fitting.
See the post I’ve just put in the ‘who would you buy’ thread.
It’s inevitable that at some point Kelleher is going to want to move on. He needs to cement himself somewhere as first choice. He’d be good enough to do that here, if we didn’t already have the best keeper in the world.
My worry is that we sell Kelleher, and not long after that Alisson gets an offer from another big club, and would rather take it than commit to the rebuild at LFC.
I hop the club is reassured that Alison is it it for the long haul before we do anything with Kelleher.
I hoped we would keep him for another year, then possibly sell him in 2024 (when he would have 2 years left on his deal), but I can understand if the club is willing to consider offers and he’s also willing to go. He’s bloody 24-years old with 30 senior games in his career so far. Must be hungry for games.
That’s not what he said. He doesn’t know anything, he’s just talking to talk.
I liked the early look of Harvey Davies in pre-season. Hopefully there’s a little “Kelleher” in his development. In the mean time, when we have little holes in those backup roles, we can always find another free/cheap experienced option.
Yeah my worry is if we finish out of Europe, and thats looking a real possibility, then Ali is off
Not sure about that to be honest.
His comments posted in his thread on here seem to suggest as much, but the results show this weekend it’s not particularly hard if you get a few results together to get it.
I assume 7th will be enough for the conference version so it’s probably 5/6th
The GK market isn’t easy, especially if we’re well secured with the phase of his career, years on contract (4 more), wages, etc.
It happens sometimes if there’s a cycle going in the window and you see more than 1 top club in need of a top starting goalkeeper immediately.
I actually also feel like he’d be willing to stay and fight to get us back if we failed to qualify for Europe this season.
Where to who could afford him?
Considering we brought in Taffarel on Alisson’s recommendation I highly doubt he fucks us off at the first sign of a challenge…
