It seemed to convert him into an Everton fan looking at his timeline.
I think JĆ¼rgen mentioned before that they would look at Kelleherās future in the summer. I know Kelleher himself did say so.
Meh James Pearce is right.
Again: Pearce wasnāt reporting on something heās heard. It was a speculative article based on the question āhow do Liverpool fund Bellingham if they miss out on CL?ā and then drawing back on how we sold well previously (i.e., the Coutinho Incident) to build our last great side. Pearce is just guessing that Kelleher might want out and is one of our few players with transfer value.
Pearce knows nothing.
Liverpool have bought well during Kloppās reign but they have sold even better. But who is next? There are few obvious contenders. Talented Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is one given his desire to play more regularly, while centre-back Nathaniel Phillips is another, but their fees combined wouldnāt put much of a dent in Borussia Dortmundās asking price for Bellingham.
A pivotal moment in Kloppās reign was the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for Ā£142million midway through 2017-18, as it gave Liverpool the financial might to buy Virgil van Dijk and Alisson, the two most transformative signings the club has made in the Premier League era. However, there isnāt currently an asset at the club who would generate that sort of windfall.
There isnāt an asset whonwould generate Ā£142m, sure. The most obvious answer to me is to sell Salah - that probably raises Ā£70-Ā£80m.
We could have 4 or 5 players leaving on a free which could free up perhaps around Ā£20m+ a season too.
Linked with a move for Gravenberch. I know he was one of the four A list midfielders we wanted in the summer.
Im sure i saw someone today saying the club are considering selling salah at end of season as hes been poor for a year now.
Might be bollocks.
Edit - just seen the account. Its bollocks
Was it Craig off YouTube? Heās a reliable itk.
No he scores winning goals instead!
Just be careful with spelling when youāre googling him
Itās being reported that the club is willing to sell Salah in the summer and bring in Chiesa from Juve. He is 5 years younger than Salah but coming off a serious injury. Jiveās point deduction issue may make it easier for Chiesa to walk away and give Juve less negotiating ability. Chiesa is quality IMO and would potentially have Doak as cover. Is this a good idea and would you do it? Iād serious consider it. Seems right sided attackers are harder to come by and Iād think weād have a buyer in PSG for Salah.
Before the injury? Yes absolutely. Now? Would be very risky but could work out as he wonāt go for near as much as he wouldāve.
But again, which club is taking Salah off us? Thereās literally only 1 club out there for him.
Yes Chiesaās price tag will certainly be lower as a result, which makes it more appealing.
Reported by who?
The really reliable Italian press!
Ah thatās happening then.
Waiting till I hear it from craig off youtube
Tenuous as it gets and already been dismissed by someone at Sky Germany but well why notā¦ why shouldnāt I.
Never mind whoās reporting itā¦this is the unreliable rumors thread! But really, I think weāve had long standing interest in Chiesa so this is not new.
