I must say that lad is an exceptional talent so I can see why the first part of that sentence would be true, not quite sure why he didn’t feature at all at the WC but he’s been very impressive this season…the Dutch Lamptey (& yes that is a compliment)…plus we could probably get Xabi to help get a few mill off his price tag for us.
Can we pick up Moussa Diaby while we’re at it?
You forgot the main thing, us changing to 4-2-3-1.
Klopp tried to buy the players for it in 2017 but then amortization and so we’re clearly trying to do it.
Sees Hendo standing closer to Virgil than Mo - see I told you Klopp wanted to shift back to 4-2-3-1
He’s thrown in the Jota thing for hits hasn’t he.
Jota isn’t going anywhere, the rest we’ve known for a century at least.
As opposed to the 2x 30min breaks which are totally legit?
NEW: Liverpool are reportedly willing to pay €25 million to sign Las Palmas midfielder Alberto Moleiro. #lfc [birmingham live]
We’ve seen links with him before. More of an attacking player than traditional midfielder…can I get a “Klopp wants to switch to 4-2-3-1” from the back?
BBC back to normal. Nothing of consequence to quote though.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a significant shopping list of players he wants to sign in the summer.
Despite a massive 7-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend, Klopp wants revolution in the off-season.
He is aware that performances have not been good enough this season as a whole, which means many players may be on the chopping block.
Sky Germany claim there are nine players on the shopping list that Klopp and his transfer committee have put together.
Those include RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol, Evan N’Dicka (Eintracht Frankfurt), Jurrien Timber (Ajax), Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Edson Alvarez (Ajax), Ismael Bennacer (AC Milan), Ruben Neves (Wolves), Youri Tielemans (Leicester) and Nicolo Barella (Inter Milan).
The club see signing a central midfielder and a centre back as their main priorities.
I’m going to call immediate and non-negotiable bullshit on the idea that Youri Tielemans is on our shopping list.
I second that motion.
That isnt enough. We need 10 players
Jude counts as 2.
And Neves.
No hope not.
I could see it happening (maybe not Newcastle specifically). He is probably behind our other forwards on the left and in the centre. If we need to sell someone to raise cash for other signings he is one of the few we could move on for good money without needing an immediate replacement (although having some to play on the right to cover Mo would be nice).
Saying that, i would like him to stay.
I wonder if they think that transfer committee is sitting on these boards. Like the other posters here, I call bullshit on Tielemans and Barella (for different reasons).
