I get Kones interesting package but havenā€™t been impressed with his season. Still looks very ā€˜rawā€™ and a lot work and time would have to be invested in him.

Both for 35 mil as well according to the article. So would be 105 for the trio of MacAllister, Thuram, and Kone. Not too shabby.

One thing thats forgotten is the deal for Carroll was linked to Torres going to Chelsea. Comolis aim was to sell Torres and end up with Carroll and Ā£20m cash. The deals were laid out as something like Ā£15m for Carroll and we sell Torres for Ā£35m. At the 11th hour Newcastle wanted Ā£35m so we set Torres price accordingly and Chelsea paid up.

So whilst it was too much (35m) the club got the deal they sought to get.

Mac Allisterā€™s fee is the real way to spend Ā£35m
