For all Howe did at Bournemouth, he did come off as very naive in his tactics at quite a bit of times too. He had no business getting Bournemouth relegated at the 19-20 season
You don’t see that with Iraola.

Bournemouth’s recruitment at the time was terrible. Big factor why they went down.
Wasn’t half the squad players who were there in league 2?
How come nobody went after guirassy? He’s been a quality striker for some time.
Looks like next summer might interesting too, but not nearly as busy as this one was.
Liverpool are plotting a January move for Guehi and are also looking at Bayern Munich and France forward, Michael Olise, 23 as a long-term successor for their Egypt star Mohamed Salah, 33. (Mail - subscription required)
Liverpool , Tottenham and Newcastle are all considering making a move to sign Brighton and Netherlands defender Jan Paul van Hecke, 25, in 2026. (Teamtalk)
Not terrible for us. They gave us huge money for Ibe. And Solanke as well. Another matter that Solanke turned it around. But he wasn’t too good initially.
If you believe Liverpool would agree to such a clause you really don’t understand Edwards, Hughes or FSG.
You are effectively saying Liverpool signed a player for 110m only to sell him at a 55m loss the following year if Bayern want him (which they do).
Regardless how well he does? It’s laughable shit. You don’t need contacts to check whether this exists, it doesn’t.
We don’t do clauses.
There might be a time when we change it, but from what I know, that is categorically what we don’t do with our players, in negotiations over new contracts and players we buy.
Of course, this is fake, as anyone closely associated with Liverpool knows, but this rumor seems to be coming from a Bayern-friendly camp, and they’re currently in full swing with the Wirtz bashing. I’ve never seen so many rumors, fake posts, insults, etc. about Wirtz before.
I doubt anyone would do a clause this bad.
Wirtz is a silky player and I’ve no doubts about him whatsoever. We have added a few more moving parts to the team and a cohesive side needs to emerge, and while we wait they are all learning each other’s movement and runs and so on. Wirtz will be an integral part of the new attack that will boss it and I can’t wait to see it.
In the meantime, while it is still a work in progress, nine points and top of the league isn’t too bad.
The clause for Wirtz is a joke. The clause for Olise probably is not, and we should be all over that next summer.
Bayern can bully everyone in Germany. They are learning that they cannot bully Liverpool, and in fact, the way we made moves this summer showed them where they currently stand in relation to LFC in the pecking order. Next summer’s move for Olise will underscore it.
@Walshy07 sort yourself out will ya…![]()
Not true…
Naby Keita had a clause in his contract, where he didnt have to play more than 15 games a season! ![]()
More like 10.
Some rumours lurking outside the window …
Manchester United are one of the clubs weighing up a January transfer window move for Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, with Liverpool and Chelsea also interested in the 21-year-old England international. (Caughtoffside)
Liverpool and Manchester United are among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Ajax’s 17-year-old teenage star Jorthy Mokio, who has already been capped by Belgium and can play at the back or in midfield. (Teamtalk)
Liverpool are confident they are leading the race to sign England defender Marc Guehi, 25, next summer when the Crystal Palace defender’s contract expires and are looking at an £87m deal to sign Bayern Munich and France winger Michael Olise, 23. (Caught Offside)
Liverpool and Manchester United are among a host of top clubs tracking Ajax’s teenage Dutch defender Aaron Bouwman, 18. (Teamtalk)
I feel we’re being trolled by Real by this point as there are reports they are looking to get Mo on a free when his contract ends with us
Well, most 35 year old footballers will be going on a free.
Not that bothered to be honest. He’ll be 35 or something by then. I’d rather he retires after us, but he’s earned the right to do what he likes.
