Fans: whine about little/no transfer activity going on. “We need signings”
Club: in talks with club X about player Y
Fans: No, not like that. Thats players shite or costs too much.
With Bradley’s ongoing injury issues and the year Frimpong had with injuries last year. Having the five options for right and left back might not be a bad idea.
Take it thats a dig at me?
I think fans want good signings.
Obviously the signings have to be good enough. Not just literally anyone, plucked from Sunday League.
I don´t think it´s that contradictory.
Some clown?
Someone who thinks he might just be an asset.
Frimpong isnt going to cut it at RB, and Bradley isn’t ready yet.
Kerkez can’t play every match and IMO Tsimikas isn’t good enough. Spence can defend to be fair, he isn’t in the same class as Robbo or even Trent. But he’s as good as snyone available at the moment
General observation. But if the shoe fits wear it.
Okay soft lad.
Someone will always find something to not like about any signing. Liverpool could have sign prime Messi and someone would have complained about how he meanders around the pitch a lot and doesn’t pull his weight defensively. Or would have cost too much. Or any number of things.
There is no pleasing all fans with transfers. Hence the meme.
Says the guy taking offense to someone pointing out how fans are never all happy by using comedy?
Fuck Fabrizio, honestly.
In this case I’m happy enough. We can do better than Spence
Well, since we only have one non-HG transfer slot left this summer and we seem to focus on Barcola, Spence is one of the better options out there.
Multiple subreddits have already banned his contents, including r/LiverpoolFC and r/soccer.
Yes, agreed. Home-grown, lightning quick, decent defensively (unlike Frimpong for example) and experienced in the PL… while covering both left and right sides. For £30m in this stupidly inflated market.
I won’t argue that he would be first choice here - for me it’s still Bradley (when fit) and Kerkez, but covering both positions and therefore allowing us to move on certainly Tsimi (freeing up a non-HG spot) and maybe even eventually Frimpong, yeah, I’ll take that.
Yeah, I was watching a vid on him earlier today where it talked about him engagement farming after Jota’s passing last year - 100 tweets from him, eclipsing any other news organisation apparently - which led to getting banned on some Liverpool channels.
Always thought he was unreliable, but that’s the final straw really.
But whats the definition of a good signing to one doesn’t mean it is to another.
Had a good World Cup but struggled to get into an awful spurs defence last season. Nowhere near Bradley’s level and probably on a par with Frimpong IMO
30 PL appearances (44 all comps) is struggling?
Only 2 Spurs players started more league games than he did last season, and one of those was the goalie.
