Kopstar’s favourite says he wants some signings
It’s a good point. The fee is low because Inter practically had it all their own way. Also, teams in Italy don’t have the money of the teams in the Prem, but there is a lot of pedigree with the top teams.
Forest and the like don’t hold a candle to Inter. Inter will challenge for, or win, the league, and they will be a CL fixture too. New country, culture, lifestyle on top - there’s an awful lot for Jones to like, if he wasn’t going to sign a new deal and be a main man at Liverpool.
Just want to say good luck to Calvin Ramsay. He was a bit of a punt and in another world, he would have stayed fit, kicked on, and it would have been shrewd business. But alas, it never really happened for him here.
So a nice loan back to Scotland, where hopefully he will play and show his quality, and build a career for himself.
Well said Virg. He is measured, but there’s some steel behind his words. He knows we are short. We know it too.
We can all write out lists, but I don’t think it will be a long list of incoming. But hopefully 3 signings, in the right positions, and we will be much better placed for the rigors of a new Prem season.
I hate it when they twist what he said, he said what happened last season was unacceptable and must not be allowed to reoccur this season.
He’s also right that we need transfer business done. You can only buy when others are willing to sell, but we cannot go into next season without adding on the wings at the very least.
I’ll echo this sentiment. His injury issues really set him back in his development. Heading back home will serve him well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he found himself back at an English side in a few years - maybe in the Championship.
To be honest, I would have liked to see Endo move on this year, but he is coming back from a significant injury and has a year left on his deal. As soon as he said he wasn’t going anywhere, that is really that.
While he is here, he gives us a bit of a security blanket to put more faith in Nyoni and McConnell. He can also, in a pinch, cover CB and RB.
That’s right. He’s a safety blanket. He’s well-liked. He’s also a model professional and not causing issues in the dressing room because of the lack of minutes.
So, I don’t see an issue with keeping him.
Apparently Man City like him.
Please stop it, it’s not funny
@Mods, could you please remove all these derogatory “nose jokes”? Thanks.
Iraola has said the same thing.
I think you can drop szobo, or sell him or play him on thw right, if you believe Wirtz is the player we thought we were buying.
As I’ve said before , that midfield functioned well enough when it has Trent doing its passing for it and Salah carrying things
On Stiller.
Good player from what I have seen. Not an amazing passer in terms of technique but he’s very positive with his passing and keeps things moving forward. Has a better passing game than our midfielders.
On him being slow. Perhaps but being quick hasn’t made Grav or Dom sufficient in my view, and arguably the many wanting a DM
Joking about someone’s appearance is never particularly classy, but there’s a pretty big gap between that and mocking somebody’s birth defect.
Didn’t know about that.
Totally agree with you. Also with you @Livvy
We have no control over any of that.
I remember I always found it distasteful when people made fun of Ribery’s appearance.
Just to explain again why it’s not okay to make jokes about it.
Thank you for removing the posts. ![]()
Is there though? I mean, Haaland can’t help his face nor can Maguire help his head size. Same as Stiller
In my view it’s a bit naff when people insult any of their appearances. Especially with all this be kind stuff nowadays. Hate to see it tbh
looks like elliot has been told he can leave if a team comes for him
Thought id ask this in here, as just saw someone ask the question of why are we seeing a rush for players now etc …
Is it possible the reason we are dealing late( as far as we know ) is because fsg were dealing with the details of selling a stake of the club, and maybe giving that priority for the immediate term?
But the main part of this thought process, the guy who left qpr, did anyone from there like a sporting director also leave at the same time as him? Maybe its a case of if they did , they wanted to get the consortium issues dealt with, let hughes wind down his contract and bring in his replacement ?
