Transfer fees are ‘peanuts’ compared to the stake thing. If anything it would have been better for FSG to get the deals done 2 months ago.
dont think they are connected. I think FSG are pretty fixed on their transfer budget and the sell would not have an impact on the transfer budget as the consortium coming in would not impact our transfer business in the short-term, but once again that is just my opinion and you could be right
I get that, but when they are paying what was it £1.7 billion for 38% and then are being told we are looking at £200 million for 2 players from psg and then more for extra positions, i wouldnt say its peanuts in that regards, ( its is to the multi billionaires i accept) but they still have to be prudent and not sign a blank cheque willy nilly.
2 billion
I think also… a bit of respect had to be shown to Iraola with him taking up the reins so to speak…
I think the club buys players from its own money, generated through revenue. There will be a credit facility, or option for very fast liquid cash as needed, and I don’t see a hard and fast fixed budget but more of a range, depending on the player/s and opportunity.
I don’t think the partial sale of LFC factors into it, personally.
And I remain interested in Ana de Armas. Just saying.
Him and Wharton linked this week. Does the club now just read my posts?
Somebody has to, I guess.
You are James Pearce, and I hearby claim my £5 prize!
There’s no call for that!
I think we’ll go in for him, but only after we resolve Macca’s future here.
Let’s gooooo!
Barcola, Mbaye, Minteh and Endrick - what a Friday we’re in for!
Waking up early tomorrow morning like it’s christmas day to open my phone and see which of them we signed…

Yeah, but us not being able to agree a fee with anyone aside. Which of these players want liverpool over the clubs that will actually pay for them?

@LondonRich look away!
Also @LondonRich I’m sorry you had to see this.
so late in the window though, we know what parrish is like. i dont see it happening even if we tried
We wont be dealing with Parish. We only were last summer because their sporting director walked out a couple of months before the end of the season and it took them until December to find a replacement. Anyone trying to buy from Palace will not only not have the stropy Glasner complicating matters, they will have someone to discuss deals with whose actual job it is to do that shit.
Doesnt mean we’re buying Wharton though
