The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

I’d call it bleating…

Knew it would happen at the first break period in the World Cup.

Might see some movement soon if these dickheads hurry up and stop pissing about with every winger under the sun. I’m sure someone on here said this fella is reliable :person_shrugging:

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are all chasing 18-year-old Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is starring in the World Cup for Morocco. (Football Insider)

And one for a chuckle…

Former Liverpool and Brazil midfielder Fabinho, 32, says he is interested in reuniting with Mourinho at Real Madrid after leaving Al-Ittihad. (Talksport)

I’m sure he was 32 when he left us

We would have to be quite stupid to pay even 100 mil for Barcola

Hopefully we are not

That is the end of Barcola then, not terribly fussed about that.

29 I believe, I remember there being a lot of debate at the time around how could he possibly be cooked when he wasn’t even 30 yet, but as it turns out it was basically true.

Touché. :grimacing:

And I wasn’t a great player to start with, Kloppo never even publicly mentioned me once.

It has been going downhill ever since, TAN is the only place where I’m not entirely ignored.

Surely PSG are just posturing. I do wonder with their sales if they really do have to sell Barcola, even with the presumed Diomande purchase. We also have to remember that the reports said that Diomande will choose PSG IF he moves this summer. To my knowledge PSG haven’t even made a bid. Diomande may, in fact, stay at Leipzig for another season. If that is the case I can see why PSG would play hardball on the Barcola fee.

Rarely does a player who wants to go leave for the quoted price especially when it’s astronomical. Isak might be one I can think of (and even he was 20m down on what they quoted. But most teams will sell and bump up the price before coming down to what they are happy with.

For all the faults of Edwards and Hughes I’m glad they are doing our transfers instead of some on here.

Liverpool need to stand up to their moneybags owner, go for Akliouche and I would use Ekitike Example to persuade him, they are trying to fill their already very large squad with more squad players. PSG think that the Diomande and Akliouche is in the bag. Barcola is a very good player and although he is supposed to be a left winger, he can play anywhere in the forward line but the price set for him is beyond anybody other than already bloated Chelski.

There are far cheaper alternatives in all the other North African squads.

Doesn’t he play as a 10? I didn’t realize he was a winger.

He played at right wing and he also played at no 10 for France I think.

Akliouche is a good player, but if we want pace on the wing, that’s not his forte. He’s not a slouch, but he’s not a speed merchant either.

Obviously we want good football players, that goes without saying, but all things being equal, I think Iraola wants pace on the wings to help open it all up.

Akliouche really isn’t the profile of a right winger that we need as he would be getting in to the same spaces as Flo.
