The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Definitely is. We have nobody else who can pass.

What you are saying is that ā€œFootball Placeā€ has flaws in its football transfer know how?

Easy.

VVD is the top for progressive passes and total passes:

Curtis Jones had the highest pass accuracy percentage:

The main problem though is that Curtis was so good at passing on the opportunity to extend his contract.

Because every pass a CB makes is generally progressive.

This is the problem. It’s not particularly surprising he is there considering half of his input was at right back.

Look at number 2… anyone trying to argue he had a good season?

Will have to buy an Anglo player to replace Jones at a hefty price. Jones leaving will leave a hole at our homegrown group.

My preferred choice is still Wharton.

Indeed.

And the further back you are, the more “progressive“ your passes will be. Taking the stats as gospel is not a good idea

That said, our midfield is not full of good passers so he probably is the best. Obviously Wirtz is more creative with his passing.

Financially he had an excellent season with the Real Madrid signing bonus

Yeah he has had an excellent summer to be fair. Sat mostly on his arse and that payout.

Wirtz creative since when.

Your obsession with him is becoming concerning as well as irritating, I know GP appointments can be hard to come by but I’d highly recommend.

He played 49 games with only 6 at RB, so nowhere near half the games

Yup no one’s admitting he had a good season and if we see the same again next we probably consider he isn’t right for us. However all our squad looked similar and I’ve seen something much better elsewhere from all of them.

Thats funny if it came from anybody but you I may take it seriously . But seeing you have the obsession with Gakpo I would wind it in a bit.

Thats not the issue he gets the pass all the time other players don’t.

Given the ridiculous prices of established home grown players, I wonder if we will see more and more business being done on younger players, so in effect we raise our own home grown players?

Obviously it won’t fully pivot that way, but as we go I see us doing more business younger down.

If the Nevilles can play for England, so can I…

There’s nothing funny to take from that, you literally created an account just for the purpose of making jibes about him…even when he’s not kicking a ball, it’s weird.

you’ve literally just written the words the rest of us can see… just read them a few times back to yourself…
