It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. Iraola is at the start of his time. He is known for attacking, front foot football. We are going to have some adventures under him. Can’t wait to see it.

In the meantime, a little plea… let’s be good reds to one another.

Jones is a good player. How good? Ok, there’s a debate to be had, whether you come down on squad man or closer to main man, but the debate should be good natured.

Either way our new manager has had a little say on that. Clearly Iraola rates Jones and wants him to stay. That’s enough for me. I hope it happens. Onwards and upwards.

Jones has already played more games for us than Alonso, and he did it in an era when we had the strongest squad ever. A club that trains players like that will always have a place for them in the squad.

On the other side, there’s still no sign of offloading Endo, Chiesa, or Tsimikas. Technically, we already have 17 international players.

Probably would be an alright buy long term, Barcola, at 100 million but given how they want to get rid of him and I think it wouldn´t be very clever.

That said, very good LW available that we could be confident would delivery high level performances immediately? Barely any.
