People slag off FFP etc but with the current valuations clubs would go bust.
£30m for a teenage prospect. £60m for a good player. £100m for a really good (not elite) player.

Liverpool are reportedly willing to put €60 million on the table for Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano, who impressed for Japan at the World Cup.
Reported by Japanese outlet Nikkan Sports towards the end of last month, Sport Bild are now also reporting on the interest in Germany.

Well, he plays in Germany so you’re more likely to have seen him in action.
Plus, I don’t watch the J League. All the best players are in Europe.

I didn´t realise Rayan was that young.
He´s a good solid player but don´t know if he could become a great player. He´s fairly quick and strong and shoots well. Not an exceptional dribbler or incredibly clever so I am not totally sure how good he could be but you´d think a solid option for years to come.
Unreliable rumour:
Andreas Schjelderup, the Norwegian winger. Plays for Benfica, two years left on his contract, could be looking to leave this summer. Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham mentioned in the article.

I hate those “aggregate” rumours where 3+ clubs are vaguely mentioned as possible destination for a player. That said, he looks like a very interesting prospect - I assume there haven’t been any rumours about his possible next club in Norwegian media?

I got in touch on the What’s Happening thread.
As for that Japanese guy, he’s the one we’ve been linked to previously who was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in Japan. Prosecutors chose not to indict him. A year later he aplogosed for his actions.
I think we should steer clear of him.

No, nothing in the media here. All the focus has been on the world cup. The only thing I’ve seen about any Norwegian player is that there are clubs interested in Patrick Berg, but nothing specific there either.
Once these things hit the national media here it tends to have some legs, so it’s perhaps something to keep half an eye on the next weeks.
