United just signed Tielemans from Villa who are presumably replacing him with Joao Gomes.
As for LFC - they are following the Kelly Jones recruitment model: Iām just looking, Iām not buying.
I would have liked us to sign Joao Gomes, before the window opened he was one I thought could be a good purchase at a reasonable fee. But that was when I assumed Endo would go, and maybe one more. I think if all the midfielders are staying - meaning Jones, Mac and Endo as well as Nyoni - itās not a position the club will prioritize.
Also, I thought it said Joe Gomez, and then I saw a picture of a player thatās definitely not Joe Gomez. So that was a confusing couple of seconds.
Not the worst option, in fact might be good. The only issue is how much he is willing to lower his salary to be a backup. At reportedly on 250k at Man city, that is definitely not going to be something we should match

Have to say I am a bit concerned with defence if we had kept Konate Iād probably be ok with it and see what tune Iraola can get out of it but itās likely going be very green. Need to get VVD back with whoever we choose however relatively early in pre season. Stones would also stop gap to those youngsters we bought that are below Leoni and Jacquet.
Have to say I donāt entirely hate it, largely because a) he can play equally well at RB or LB giving us great cover and b) that means we can safely sell Tsimi and reclaim a non-HG roster spot.
Thought he was pretty impressive last night for the most part.
