If Diomande becomes open to other clubs then PSG again, a bid would be worth considering. Annoying both PSG and Real would be worth it but we might have a chance, we can definitely offer more game time then others.

I was wondering this, although given that his biggest hero is Cronaldo (followed by original Ronaldo), I think there’s a good chance moving to Real was always going to be his endgame, so probably hard to compete for that reason.

Considering the lack of stand out options for the right, If he gives us five or six years of being our first choice on the right after picking us over Real and having PSG show the limits of what they were willing to spend for him? It’s a risk I’d be willing to consider.
but as ZinedineBiscan already pointed out with Diomande’s love for the Ronaldo’s, Real might just not be someone we can compete with for him. Which at least has the silver lining of taking up a spot in Real’s attack for a long time if he works out for them. Only so many spots in teams that some players consider bigger then us.

When Real come calling its rare for a player not to, so none of this is a surprise. Oddly though Madrid where reportedly interested in Olise and Barcola weren’t they?

What has happened to Rodrygo in Real? He did his ACL earlier in the year I believe but if Madrid gets in a new winger on the right side, would he be too risky for a move? (although I think he prefers to play on the left, just that he was forced to play on the right because of Vinicius)
ADD: Scrap that, i think he is still injured 
This would not upset me. He had a good World Cup, still has 2 years left, won’t fetch a better price than right now, not irreplaceable.

What I don’t get is Vinicius’s agency is Roc Nation who Real have had issues with but they represent Diomande

To be fair I’d be open to it but I would be more so if we had bought some players in.

I think Diomande is good and very talented but 120 mil or whatever is a huge amount of money for a guy who hasn´t really done that much.
You could argue we overpaid for Wirtz, but Wirtz had a few good seasons, won the league and had played well enough in the Europa League and Champions League.
Seems now you´re paying for more kids because of their potential and longevity, rather than for what they actually primarily and a bit more for potential.
However, I´ve seen enough to think if we did sign him we would not have to worry about that flank for 5 years or more.
