The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Yes, but we’d still need an attacker or two.

They should just offer him to Chelsea or Shitty and the player will end up worse off then where he was at PSG, on the bench but at least he’d get to play a bit not on the scrap heap of talented albeit richer young players.

So far it’s the speedy wingers we are looking at. But there are varying types of wingers depending on the style and balance of squad. Just like the Akliouche guy, while not necessarily he is the one would probably cost around 50m.

Honestly I doubt it. Palace are going to want a similar fee for Wharton as Anderson. Spence is probably over £50m alone.

At some point you just have to accept that signing players is more expensive than ever. Negotiate it as much as possible and use the youth where possible. Maybe Nyoni saves us from signing a midfielder which means £80m+ we didn’t spend there.

I think we need to sign a minimum of a backup CB and a starting winger. It makes sense to push the boat out to get the best winger we can.

Not to mention he’s not good enough and comes with a ‘Couple good World Cup performances’ premium.

Sadly we may have to do something like this and overpay for some homegrown talent given the situation we’ve got ourselves in.

But even putting that aside for the moment the solution we need right now is a RB who can also play CB as I can’t see us buying one of each.

Nothing to do with fitness, the reason all our internationals form fell off a cliff is the WC and low and behold that form returned while playing for their respectives countries. In the case of Macca we should sell him now because his form for us will not return because he is knackered from his exertions with Argentina.

At least it’s movement on something and should hopefully see that bit of the market start to move.

Doubt it does much for our pursuit of Barcola but perhaps means we move on if they dig their heels in.

Maureen wanting to get into the act… Gives him the option then of getting rid of Mbappe, the other humongous ego in the dressing room besides his own…

Is the agreement with Leipzig that they will just wait until his contract runs out and sign him on a free?

Madrid are such c*nts. Getting our players for free and signing every other bastard we want or wanted.

That’s a fascinating development. The undercurrent of the Jose deal was the difficulty of seeing him and Vini worked together given their previous and the assumption that Jose just wouldn’t tolerate how temperamental he is. If there is truth to this, then it surely has to be related to his exit, right?

Then I think the multi-club model is the way to go. We need a proper environment to develop young talent before they become too expensive or even impossible to sign.

diomande can play both sides, i think rodrygo is more likely to lose his place than vini. i think vini stays. only other team that can afford his salary are psg

Last summer he was adamant that Newcastle would only sell Isak for £200m, a perpetual motion machine, and a dragon egg.
