PSG says 170M.
Sells Barcola for 130M.
LFC can pretend they got a reasonable compromise.
PSG can say they extracted the maximum at their original valuation.

Get a centre back!!!
130 Euros (ÂŁ111m) just seems ridiculous imo. Im just not convinced hes that good. But, the markets fked, and ultimately, if he can come in and do a job and the club are happy to spend, happy days.
Palace usually extract maximum value. They are probably wanting a fee in excess of ÂŁ100m and are in no hurry to sell given they recently sold Guehi & Eze and are getting another ÂŁ55m for Lacroix who they will probably replace fairly cheaply with a young player because theyâve already got Richards, Canvot and Riad ready to start.
Wharton also doesnât seem particularly to be pushing for a move.
So why does everyone keep going back to him, when it doesnât seem achevable?
At this moment it would be interesting to see how Trey fits, may not have the same flair in range of passing but I am impressed with how he progresses the ball through the lines and it is something he has shown from his very first games for us.
Plus he is already here!
Iâm on the Trey Train! ![]()
Choo choo

Itâs not quite that exciting yet. More like this ..

Last two posts are surely de railing??
Who was that guy who could kill a transfer with one thread? ![]()

I agree I think Nyoni may be a factor in our own interest. If Mac Allister stays and Nyoni doesnât go on loan we probably wonât be looking for another midfielder and in this market using what you already have is a massive factor.
I do think Wharton is an excellent player who would be a great fit here but price and difficulty dealing with Palace would make it tough. Apparently Chelsea are trying to get a package together for both Wharton and Lacroix now.
Would it be as tough without Glasner there now? Wasnât he the one who caused us the Guehi issues.
Theyâve not seemed too knobbish when selling him to City or Lacroix to Chelsea. Even the Eze deal seemed to be done with relatively little fuss.
Either they just hate us or we were unlucky that the one we wanted was the one where they decided to draw a line.
The feeling is mutual ![]()
So many bad memories of games against Palace, the transfer rubbish that was part of derailing last season and of course the many reminders of the grimest of bad times - Roy Hodgson ![]()

Exclusive Paris Saint-Germain withdraws from the Yan DiomandĂŠ file.
The capital club refuses to give in to RB Leipzigâs demands, deemed disproportionate. Paris wishes to maintain a balance in its financial management. Furthermore, the behavior of Yan DiomandĂŠâs agents has disappointed the Parisian leaders, the latter having changed their position after having nevertheless reached an agreement with the club.
Goes wherever the wind blows. I thought he only wants PSG? Whereâs his principle?
1990 FA Cup Semi Final loss to them was the first of only two occasions Iâve cried sad tears after a football game and Iâve hated them ever since.
A very early football memory and a very early lesson in how painful it can be.
