The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Mkhitaryan. It’s time to finally bring him home.

Sucic would be the one but we’d have to send a chuck of money along with Jones.

Good shout. He´s a tidy player.

Quite how good he could be, I am not sure. Very tidy passing game, good goal threat i expect, but is he the guy to be the main man? Remains to be seen. Maybe he is.

Well, we can only sign one more foreign player, who is very likely Barcola or another winger, so we should just forget about him, especially if Jones leaves.

Assuming we don´t sell any foreign players.

And we easily could (and should) sell some.

Ramsay, Endo, maybe Macca, maybe Gakpo, that’s all so far (Frimpong is HG). On the other side of the equation, Elliott, Gomez and Jones, and maybe Frimpong may leave.

The rest are not for sales.

I hope that rumor turns out to be true. Experience depth in the defense that leaves room for our promising younger center backs to grow. He shouldn’t cost too much with only a year left on his contract and being homegrown helps with our squad building.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Tomori play so I dont have a perspective on whether he or Chalobah would be/is better, but this exactly the sort of deal we should be pushing for and the fact there are two seemingly available options on the market means the prices should be very reasonable even with multiple clubs being interested.

Rumoured to be below 15mil pounds. That would be a worthwhile punt on not necessarily a bad player, and at 28 is not over the hill.

Yeah, Tomori offers quality depth and can stand in as a first choice centerback. He has pace and he’s good with his feet. He also is homegrown, which is a big bonus. At the price, he’s definitely worth a buy.

We could even make efficient use of the private jet by sticking Curtis Jones onboard for its return trip to Milan

I would say it is verging on a requirement seeing as its Gomez’s role we’re looking to fill.

We’re not doing that badly in non-HG spots when it comes to the league, in large part because Jacquet and Leoni are young, but for the CL we will likely have a decision to make on who to leave out should we get to the KOs (assuming Leoni will be left out of the group stage squad)

Didn’t Milan want Chiesa? Straight swap. Get it done Richard, you fuckstick.

Do you mean Ekitike? Leoni is almost back fit, isn’t he?

Depending on what happens with Ramsay we’re at 17 or 18 now for UEFA purposes. Given there is no indication the forward/winger we’re clearly still still chasing will be HG I figured Hugo would make way for the group stages for that player. Then if we bring in anyone else, or we want to keep Ramsay we would probably keep Leoni out of the squad for the first phase given that even with a good timeline there would be games he’s not ready for.

That to me would be a good deal. Considering depth and everything else. He would certainly fill that gap currently.

Inter can have Jones if they give us Bastoni.

That ones for @ZinedineBiscan

But seriously; give us Bastoni.

I’m sure he’ll put up a great defence, as he always does.

But also.
