Another rumor for a right winger. This is 23 year old Francisco Conceicao from Juventus. Asking price supposedly between 40-50m euros so probably 45m pounds could get it done.
I think if we get Barcola in we could potentially sell Gakpo and then buy Conceicao for the right wing. Last season he was more of a playmaker than a goalscorer with 3 goals and 5 assists in series A. If he ends up feeding goals to Barcola, Ekitike, Wirtz etc. that could end up a strong forward line for us. I’d rather have Barcola and Conceicao as starters on the wings and have Ngomuha more as a backup or rotation player.
On paper Conceicao is more proven than Diomande even if the latter’s upside might be considered higher.

Bournemouth signing Antonio Silva from Benfica for 30 mil. Surely we could have managed that?
And apparently Brentford getting Sangare for 45 mil from Lens. Linked with us.

I can understand why they weren’t in for Silva. Another young centre back, feels like that’s not something they would prioritise now.
Sangare is one of the midfielders I thought they’d perhaps go for if they for example sold both Mac and Endo, and were looking for that player type. I remember there were some links a few months ago, at least he got mentioned as a potential guy. Interesting to see how he does at Brentford.

Chelsea seem to manage gazumping the likes Bournemouth and Brentford and Brighton for these low prices, why not us I’m sure we were linked to Silva.
I do understand that they may want a more experienced one who will be done by the time Leoni and Jacquet are entering their primes
But then, if he´s good now and better than them, who cares if he ends up being the main man not them?
Yeah on Sangare. Probably have a good season and be bought for money by us or somebody else next year. Silva too.

Don´t know but it shows that value is still in the market. Wouldn´t necessarily be my first choices but them and Joao Gomes are players who could come and be important for us.
If we end up paying 30mil plus for Tomori I´d be a little baffled. Homegrown ok but he´s not that good.

Well, I understand that we are looking for a HG version of Klavan as Jacquet will be a starter, so Tomori makes sense.
As for RB, Spence is no brainer since he is better than Frimpong and can play both wings. 40-50m for an England international like that is a good price these days.
It seems you would buy anyone with a pulse!

I thought it was pretty clear I wouldn´t buy Tomori.
Been banging the drum for him for some time now, but he just re-upped his contract with Juve, and has said he is happy there, and wants to lead them to titles. Hasn’t scored a lot, but is a very good playmaker, and I think he may be ready to breakout. Still just 23 also.

Because we think Jacquet and Leoni are better and so bought them instead.
The lad may turn out to be a good player but it’s somewhat telling that you mention Chelsea here and, no doubt they could have done this deal, but instead chose to spend twice as much on Lacroix instead.

I’m not against Gakpo going by any means, however I do feel like it would leave us one forward short even after Barcola (hopefully) comes in.
Especially as it sounds like Iraola sees Wirtz as a 10 not a winger.
