THIAGO Alcantara: 2023/24

No wonder his hips are fucked……

Twisting them the most unnatural way possible

shhhhhhh we don’t discuss it

He’s one of those players who you’d be happy paying just to watch him train.

Pretty much yeah, the first one from this group actually.

No idea how he gets in the team with the current midfield purring but he’s a good option to help pass a game to death as a substitute.

I just want to watch him one more time.

Depends if Alonso (if he’s the new manager) feels that he wants to keep him.

Alonso has played alongside Thiago before and he would know his strengths.

First of all, hope Xabi comes in.

If he comes in - we still don’t know what kind of football he wants his team to play. At Leverkusen he is basically still working with what was there when he arrived.

Thinking about what kind of player Xabi was (mainly after he left us because if I remember correctly he did not like where Rafa wanted him to play) one might speculate that Xabi would want a player like Thiago in his side.

Hold on, stop. I said 'someone like Thiago. Not Thiago. You know the reasons.

Xabi wanted Xhaka at Leverkusen. So he should be more than happy with Alexis here.

Said this before - with Bradley coming through - Xabi might be Trent’s best chance to be moved to midfield. Xabi played with Lahm and Kimmich - two RBs who made that transition.

But further up in midfield he might want ‘the next Thiago’.

Like I said pure speculation. It’s not like our other midfielders can’t pass a ball.

Sorry should have probably posted in the next Manager or Xabi thread.

No point in commenting anything anymore.

He’s been out for ten months, so this was always going to happen.

As most of us said here at the beginning of the season he’s a write off - hopefully we get some playing time out of him but he needs to go in the summer regardless.

Hardly news is it? Shame we couldn’t get rid last summer.

We got this far without him and done alright, we can carry on without him.

Get him as a coach on Xabis background team

Was hoping he would fill gaps but no point on relying is there. Hope Dom news is better.

Can you beleive some fans want him to get a new deal!

He is stealing a living currently. Hopefully insurance pays that wage

The idea that hes stealing his living/wages is harsh, as it suggests its by design.

Hes a world class footballer that has had some bad injuries, but don’t think that it can be squarly put on his shoulders. Im pretty sure if you ask him he’s pretty down about it all and would rather be playing than on the treatment table.

No doubt that hes making a rather expensive paperweight for the club.
