Iâd hate to lose Brewster. I want us to do or best to keep building up our young talent instead of shoving then off if they donât look like a superstar on the first attempt
Pretty sure I was the first person to say I definitely donât want Fabinho at CB and I still donât. Anyway, I know fuck all about anything so happy to let JK do his thing.
I am made up if Thiago is coming and Gini stays. Another top player signed who could have gone anywhere but he chose us. Shame we havenât got a bit more money because we could probably sign just about any player in the world right now. Everyone wants to play for us. I genuinely canât remember a time when the club has been such an attractive destination for players.
next to messi, we just signed probably the most accomplished player in world football over the last 6-7 years. I canât remember that ever happening as a fan for the last 3 decades. things just got serious!!
When you spread the payments over a longer period, the seller usually expects an increase in the overall amount paid, not less. This is to account for the effects of things like inflation, and the risks that we simply dont pay (I.e because we go bankrupt), and to compensate for inconvenience in waiting longer for the money.
In which case i am surprised that not only have we been able to spread the payments over 4 years, but it is for less than what we were all expecting. That to me implies itâs not an internal compromise here but an external one with Bayern.
Furthermore, Klopp at the start of the summer spoke about the need to bring in a 4th CB, and Fabinho not being that 4th man. Lynch today (and maybe others) have said that is no longer the case.
