Jones will always be considered for many years. Of all our midfielders Thiago is clear top on dribbles with 3.6, Kieta 2.5,Jones 2.2. Passes, Thiago 91.3%,Jones 90.7%, Tackles Kieta 3.3 Jones 3. Interceptions, Thiago 2.3 Jones and Kieta next best on 1.5. I know stats can be misleading but they are a loose guide and show Jones in a very good light. Obviously his sample would be small but he has done enough to ensure continued first team involvement IMO.
My little bit:
What a player Thiago is everybody could see in the CL-final.
Question marks are how quick can he adapt to our style of play and how often will he get injured.
It happens not too often that Klopp signs a 29 y.o.player.
So Klopp must see something special in Thiago.
I expect that he doesn’t need much time to adapt.
But what do I know, the same I thought when Keita signed.
