As a general rule — and as I’m sure we’re all aware — Klopp has a pretty good eye for players: he doesn’t buy someone unless he thinks they can play a role in the system that doesn’t already exist (or a player who is an improvement on the place in the system). And given how much the ex-MU punditry camp (and the MU fans on Twitter) seem to rate him, even better.

I think that’s more to do with his intelligence than his linguistic skills. If you think about someone like Andy Cole who is English, and still can’t communicate in comprehensible English, he’s not that impressive.

I am somewhat worried about his injury record and EPL is more physical than Bundesliga. Hope JK and the physio team know how to handle him. Glad we got depth in our midfield ranks as I don’t expect him to play every league and CL game… and would welcome he gets some rest from time to time
