Thank you for everything, both sides were great for each other.
Zero ill feelings from my side, wish him the best of luck in all departments, sporting and private.
Understand the motivations and new motivations in life, how long he’s been with us is also something beautiful and rare, it doesn’t have to be the whole career all the time.
Understand also the combination on factors that led to this season, there isn’t one party that is 100% guilty for this.
Club legend no doubt, although also probably not enough to remove Phil Neal from our all time XI. Still, he’s up there as one of the best.
It’s more for the public, pretty sure that the club is monitoring the market for months now. It’s normal and responsible, when you have such a player entering the final stage. Regardless of Bradley, who of course we hope will play a part in moving on in a quality way.
Good luck to him, but obviously not to Real.
He’s provided us with some breathtaking moments which we should treasure, and was a crucial part of the legendary Klopp era.
I’m not convinced he’ll be a success at Real. He was cut a lot of slack here because he was a Scouser, but their fans won’t be as patient. I reckon he’ll start well, but once opponents work him out, it’ll get difficult.
Can see him back in the PL in a couple of years.
No surprise here, and I won’t blame Trent. He’s a young man with the feeling that the world is at his feet. He thinks that the grass is greener elsewhere.
My feeling is that he’s about to commit a big mistake though. At LFC, he could have become a genuine club legend, like, say, Hansen or Mølby. By chosing to go to Real, in the long run, he’ll have a standing a bit similar to McNamanan: a talented player who chose to go elsewhere to win more trophies and money, and who has thus a limited status in the memories of the fans.
My bet is also that he’ll have a similar status at Real than McNamanan had: possibly a super-sub, or even a fringe player. But that’s up to him. Even if he becomes a regular in the first team, he’ll never have a high standing in Real Madrid fans’ hearts there. He’ll surely win more money though, and possibly/probably more trophies.
The main problem with this decision is for LFC: a key part of our first team leaves, and has to be replaced. Bradley is a great young player, but isn’t ready to take over the mantle imo, especially when considering his injury record until now. So, right back becomes the single most important position to reinforce, in front of everything else. A crucial piece of the jigsaw is gone, and must imperatively be replaced if we want to stay competitive.
All the best to him. He was thrown into the first team and never looked back. One of the best the PL has ever seen in terms of what he can do. Won everything there is to win with this great club and he will depart with the fans’ best wishes.
Disappointed that he wants to go. As a Liverpool fan himself can’t see the lure of other clubs. That’s ok. The thing that comes to my mind right away is the quick corner against Barca in the semi final. That will be etched in memory of all Liverpool supporters for long . Good luck!!
I hope he doesn’t get too much abuse from our fans, but don’t see the need for him to play again this season except for the last ten minutes of the Palace match.
The introduction of Bradley against Chelsea increased the level of intensity on the right side and made me think that Conor is much more of a Slot type of player than Trent, with his somewhat languid style.
I hope he’s negotiated a leave for free clause in his contract with Real as I reckon after 18 months he’ll be desperate to come back home. We sure as fuck would be crazy to pay anything for him - Real have form for this remember lil Mickey Owen.
