Yan Diomande (Winger) RB Leipzig

Prestiani is the guy who defended himself against racism allegation by saying “I didnt say that I used a homphobic slur instead” and so now is working through a UEFA ban

Great defence.

“Sir you’ve got it all wrong! It’s the gays I hate!”

prices are crazy for players that are considered stars. madrid bidding 130 million for Olise… Leipzig basing their valuation on this.

Well I tried it, I opened up the search to anyone under 30 and added one more metric - accelerations per 90 as I feel like those injections of speed are important.

The only additional guy who came up was Chris Furich at Stuttgart who I must admit I have never heard of and plays on the left wing :joy:

How does Victor Munoz at Osasuna compare to these types of players? Formerly of Madrid, saw him linked to both Newcastle and Villa in recent days and supposedly he has a low release clause. Another who can play across the forward line and scored recently on his Spain debut.

yes, i was about to post about him, his release clause is 35 million

On these metrics he is in the bottom 50% for Key Passes, Dribble Success % and Goal Conversation but scores really highly for progressive carries and accelerations per 90.

I just think hughes has to be flexible with the budget this time around and not go for the 100 million pound player. andoni loves to coach and improve players ala klopp. so sign good cheaper players for him to develop and then we can sell them for three times the price (coutinho) in a few years

The thing is, Diomande is the cheaper up and commer that we previously made our bones from. That is just what the market is like now.

I’m definitely on the side of ‘just pay the money’ as, as we’ve seen today, there aren’t a huge number of viable top class options out there right now.

It’s just a shame he seems to prefer PSG. That’s the only thing that has me thinking about alternatives.

I think he prefers PSG so hopefully we have other options that aren’t homophobes.

That was in reference to one of the others players being discussed as possible alternatives to Diomande.

To be fair I did think that when I re-read it.

If Bayern were to sell him—though I don’t think they will—they would need a replacement. I think we should hurry, so they don’t swoop in and beat us to it.

At least it’s not Kvara (which means PSG is maybe slightly less attractive to Diomande).

I wonder if Mo could pitch up at Bayern to replace Olise, and reunite with Diaz…

it jus means less financial wiggle room for other potential targets

it means 201mil will do it
