I don’t know how you got this figure into your head… but last summer was record spending for us and we still didn’t break £250m before sales. Average is probably closer to the £60m mark before sales. So my guess is £100m to 120m or so before sales.
Remember we are run as a financially sustainable club. We not only don’t have the financial benefit of winning the title like season (added sponsorship, a little more tv and prize money) plus there is the compensation owed Slot.
