Yan Diomande (Winger) RB Leipzig

Who isn’t ?

I think he was showing that he also reported Munoz as well to give him some creditability

The fact he has to point to his previous rumours sort of suggests he isn’t particularly credible. He may be right and I did think for a while that RBL were hoping for a bidding war and waiting on PSG who haven’t particularly shown much interest in making a bid.

The sad thing about all this is you can logically reach these conclusions… Maybe I should get a blue tick and claim I was with the BBC once, no ones checking on X.

Have we signed him yet? Geez

Yeah we have… Trust me bro, I once went to BBC studios in both Manchester and the old one in London.

I too was once a member of the Broman Bicycle Club

So I can confirm there is definitely a non zero chance that we try to buy Yan.

Are they like Bombay Bicycle Club?

I was thinking more of the friends I mountain biked with in small Michigan town, but now that you mention it I have eaten at a Bombay Bucycle Club.

Never really liked stats, but here it is.

I hope we’ve already made some progress behind the scenes and that everything else is just media posturing.

I think this lad is special. I will be quite disappointed if we don’t get him. There doesn’t seem to be too many appealing alternatives either. I’m not on the Barcola train.

Him vs Curacao

He´s not actually that great a dribbler in terms of manipulating the ball but with his acceleration and change of direction he´s always a threat and importantly, he puts in a good pass or cross into the box.

What that video doesnt show is that immediately before the goal he lost the ball with a clumsy touch. But he immediately won it back and then created the goal. I think people’s assessment will be based on whether they are biased towards picking out the flaws (common) or focusing on the qualities and how they fit into the side. When we think about what we expect this side to look like next season, I think these qualities are so much more important than what people might point out as the flaws (or to be kinder, areas where he can still improve)

Completely agree with this. There is obviously a sense in which he is still raw, but on the plus side he is doing things already that very few can do. He is beating people with ease, creating chances, and weighing in with a few goals.

His decision making isn’t bad at all, but it will improve, as will his passing and other aspects of his game that Iraola will work on with him.

But even before we get there, just thinking about the player as is? Sign me up!

I hate when video compilations dont show that suff.

One or two of the clips cut before he loses the ball too.

But yeah flaws are expected especially at that age but he seems to have the mental qualities and important ones as you say. I think it´s clear he´s good enough for us and what we want.

Mane’s vibes. No one knew what they were trying to do next, even themselves :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

He created a pressing opportunity!

Yeah I am trying to avoid making those comparisons because ordinarily there is something a bit dodgy about how quickly people can lump different African players together. Oh, he’s African and an aggressive dribbler…he must be like Mane. But he really is

Losing the ball is the best #10…or something like that
