I do kind of feel like he’s coming in to replace Darwin (or whoever lasts CF was) with a change of formation tactics to utilize his skillset. Call it false 9, 4-2-2-2, 4-4-2 diamond, 4-1-3-2. or whatever.
With current personal you’d have Gakpo or Diaz and Mo up front, Wirtz the creator, Dom and Mac doing the running, gravy holding ahead of a back 4. That sounds very solid and would improve our attack as well.
We all think Darwin is gone, likely one of Robbo/Tsimi. That probably means for the rest of the summer big incomings after the 3 that look like they are happening would depend on who leaves that we don’t really expect (ex Diaz or Jota leaving might have us really in for Etitike or the like)
The issue with it spreading to the transfer threads is people see there’s activity and click on it in the vain hope it may actually be a worthwhile update on the situation.
Couldn’t agree more with this - you see thirty odd posts a transfer thread and think somethings happened, and it turns out to be the same five lads doing the same bloody jokes as every other thread.
I love the fact that the forum isn’t over moderated…but there are times when the same “in jokes” ruin the experience on here.
The humour and incidental derailments are part of life and we all appreciate that…it’s what made this a great forum. Probably better than TIA…but the constant inane joke posting in EVERY thread is annoying
Ok, on topic; this is a bank holiday weekend in Germany.
Nothing will happen until Tuesday at the earliest. Germans take their bank holidays very seriously.

In all seriousness, I think it’s very close (about 5 million apart). This thing gets wrapped up at about 118 million pounds (140 million euros). The question is, will that 5 million difference be part of the 100 million guaranteed (making it 105), or will it be part of the add-ons? will let you all know after i talk to hughes in a couple of hours
