Seems you’re the only one who can see the looming apocalypse
We’re in an actual transfer negotiation process not FM.
Lets get it right we are trying it on to get him cheaper because he can leave for free in 12 months.
Did everyone for see 2021 injury crisis.
But you forsee the looming apocalypse?
Since when was it malpractice to seek to maximize value or advantage in the transfer market?
I’d love to play poker with some of the posters here. You can smell their panic from a mile away. Thank goodness they are not leading our transfer negotiations.
The positive angle is that we know we are trying to get him, which means we have identified the need at CB. If waiting a week or two more means saving £5m-£10m then that covers the players’ wages for one to two years.
If we end the window without a reinforcement at CB I’ll agree its a bit concerning. I doubt we are resting on our laurels though and I’m sure Liverpool and Palace have ongoing conversations. My guess is Palace are hoping to secure their Conference League place before selling him as its worth a decent bit of money.
Can’t begrudge them that. It’s already a joke that they’re having to qualify for that shit-tier comp. Their FA Cup win should have seen them land in the league phase of the EL.
I’m in the camp that reckons there’s already been a deal made here but we’ve agreed to hold off until they’ve qualified for this comp and they can get a replacement lined up. I reckon next week will see both Guehi and Isak come in.
All of that said, if we don’t bring in an experienced CB this window it’ll be a bit shit.

And perhaps offers them something more to negotiate with when speaking with players/ agents…
It seems an unnecessary case of playing with fire over 5 -10 mil. Virgil or Konate get injured Monday Palace will be rubbing there hands knowing they have us over a barrel that price is going up.
Or Guehi gets injured and the whole deals off.
There’s a lot that can happen and you can’t be prepared for everything. Who’d have thought we’d have three right backs all unfit at the same time?
I just can not see your point. If Guehi gets injured playing for Palace we have royally cocked up. We shouldn’t be in the position of him even still playing for them.
@Jackbenimble did.
He’s been calling for us to sign at least another 5 players in addition to getting Kelleher, Quansah, Diaz, and Trent back.
Oh right. I thought that was all satire of some sort. It must be very exhausting being so anxious all the time. Meditation or herbal tea might be beneficial.
I thought you were one of the contributors who are more level headed and didn’t make things up guess I was wrong.
I would just like you to post those statements.

Hyperbole to make a point.
As good as we are and have been in the transfer market, squad building, and succession planning, the more elite we become the more rarefied the player is that improves us.
We’re picky. We’re not at a meat market, just trying to get bodies in so we’ve got 2 in every position and extra ones for good luck. We’re trying to get an elite core of 16-18 top, top class players with players with the potential to push them rounding out the squad.
Add to that the few players in the world good enough to improve that group and who may also be attainable are not easily secured.
With respect, I feel that your own level-headedness needs some work.
Off the core group as you say your younger players will add to that.
Would any player brought in be happy playing 11 games for us. However if you say use Danns or Rio for those minutes they would be happy.
Anyhow wrong place to talk about this. We do need a CB and if that’s Guehi or someone else fair enough, same with Isak. However beyond that…
We could always sign the mysterious Ben Davies again.

“Next days”
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a native Anglophone say that, ever.
I think we see the need in CB and maybe in the forward line. But the way you are posting and behaving is like the Asian mum who only focuses on why the child lost 5 marks in an exam that the child scored 95.
