I like it.
Bobby more in midfield, Mo through middle, Shaq on right.
How did they get Fernandes to stay upright long enough to take that picture?
Bollocks.
Hendo should never play there.
That’s gold
Shaqiri is the man to open up their back 6.
Okay, so 4-2-3-1 it seems.
I thought we would go with 4-3-3 and Millie/someone else.
But in a 4-2-3-1, I’m actually not susprised to see Shaq instead of Ox. I just don’t want Shaq centrally in midfield.
At the back it was always clear to me that Klopp would avoid Rhys or Nat if Matip can’t make it.
Bird’s eye view?
Crap…How it kind of destroys the confidence of our young centre backs, having hendo ahead of them in the pecking order.
Shame, but this means that united will have chances to score
Matip:
Nah fuck it mate, I’m a bit sore.
So it’s a 4231 I presume? It will be interesting to see how this line-up will effect our game. What I like with this is that every player plays in his best position (well, apart from Hendo and Fabinho of course). Gini is there to help holding Thiago’s back clear, and Shaq’s presence behind the front three will hopefully result in Bobby making his usual first defender stuff, but staying higher up the pitch.
In any case, it’s a very positive and offensive line-up. We should be able to score goals with this, the manc’s backline is their weak point. Fingers crossed for three points today, and a statement for the rest of the league!
I must admit I am thinking of missing it or listening on the radio. My BP is not good at present and watching does me no favours. Who ever coined the phrase growing old gracefully had not yet experienced it.
I might tune in when we are 2 or 3 up with 10 minutes to go.
We don’t need a new centre back because we have Williams and Philips? Gimme a break.
Glad to see Shaq get a game but the backline situation is a joke.
Hard to disagree with this. Bordering on criminal negligence if they don’t bring in a CB this window.
Dante? Lawro in the eighth circle?
So, Salah up top. Shaqiri on right and Bobby in the middle!!!
Mane Firmino Shaqiri
I think Shaqiri deserves a chance ahead of Oxlade as an attacking midfielder. He links it up better, and we should definitely try and use that left foot of his on set pieces. I’d have Mane and Salah looking for free kicks around the D.
It ain’t gonna happen. And that will probably be the major contributing factor to us not winning the league this year.
There we go again, two midfielders in defence in one of the biggest games of the season. Just fast forward to August and be done with it.
